This list was compiled to help Bay Area residents, and those who care for them, navigate the mental health resources available in our community. Whether you're in crisis, looking for ongoing support, or seeking help for a loved one, you don't have to figure it out alone.

If you or someone you know is in immediate physical danger, such as a medical emergency, active violence, or when someone is armed and poses a threat to themselves or others, please call 911. Sometimes, however, police involvement in mental health crises can escalate rather than de-escalate a situation. For mental health crises that don't involve imminent physical harm, the resources on this page, including crisis lines and mobile response teams, are often better equipped to provide the right kind of support.
